Cold Brew Coffee FAQ
Q: How much coffee should I use to make cold brew?
A: We recommend 5 tablespoons of course ground coffee for every 8oz of water but it really depends on how strong you want your cold brew to be. Remember cold brew is a concentrate and is generally cut with water. The Toddy Cold Brew System uses a 12oz bag of coffee with 56oz of water and is probably your best bet to get started.
Q: What is the difference between Cold Brew and Iced Coffee?
A: Iced coffee is hot brewed coffee poured over ice and has the same taste and strength as a normal cup of coffee. Cold Brew coffee is a concentrate that has 67% less acidity than hot brewed coffee.
Q: What is the best roast of coffee to use for cold brew, light or dark?
A: This depends on personal taste, some say light some say dark, we recommend trying different roasts until you find one you like.
