Since 2009, more powerful turbo engines Rotax 914 were used in the aircraft which improved all characteristics of the plane. We called it SeaBear. Since 2000, the aircraft L-6,  L-42 and L-44 have been participating in many air shows such as MAKS (International Aviation and Space Salon in Zhukovsky, Moscow Region) and Gidroaviasalon in Gelendzhik organized by Beriev Aircraft Company. These aircraft have deserved high estimation of specialists. Aircraft manufacturing company «Chaika» is currently working on the production of the L-42 and L-44 amphibians and carrying out maintenance and upgrades of the aircraft produced.
