According to Elon Musk, orders for the Tesla solar glass roof will open on May 10th, 2017.
The company's founder and CEO posted an early AM tweet that indicated orders would open in the afternoon.
The solar tiles replace roof shingling with a black glass finish that collects energy from the sun to help power the household.
The first two texture options are Tesla's Tuscan and French Slate.
Other aesthetic options are expected to become available in the next six months.
